| (Carleton Place) – ParkAdmin®, the complete parking and security management solution, created by Tomahawk Technologies Inc., has released its Notices Module as an add-on to the existing Violations Module. ParkAdmin is a web-enabled solution for administrators of parking and security management. It was created in 2001 specifically for a local university and is now installed in campuses across North America. The largest ParkAdmin installation is an institution with more than 25,000 students, sells more than 8,000 semester, annual and monthly permits and writes almost 30,000 citations annually. The smallest institution using ParkAdmin sells 1,000 semestered permits and is currently enjoying the benefits of the Application Service Provider (ASP) model. According to Tomahawk’s VP of Business Operations, Michael Freeman, the Notices Module is currently offered as a value-added feature of the existing Violations Module. “This add-on module is currently a huge value-add to existing and potential Violations Module customers alike,” continues Michael. “What this new module does in simplified terms is notify end users that their violations are overdue. This can be accomplished in two different ways, system generated email(s) or by mailed letter(s). The Administrators can create letters and print them out through the system. The new module also allows administrators who may have existing template letters to upload them into the system. All emails, system generated letters, and custom uploaded letters are conveniently tracked allowing administrators to view how many notices have been sent to each user. In addition to this there is also a “collections report” feature. Based on each school's or organization's business rules, a report is generated providing all the necessary information the administrator requires to pass on to their collection agency.”, explained Michael. “Another feature of this module is the automated email notification feature that executes every night. This feature determines which violations are overdue, based on the organization's rules, and emails the end users notifying them of their overdue violations. There are also nightly administrative reports sent to the administrators. According to Joan Batucan, who heads up Business Development for ParkAdmin, the Notice Module also includes a template space where an Administrator can enter a template for a notice form letter. This means that again, the Administrator saves time and does not have to keep typing the same basic and common notification overdue information for each and every overdue account that is tracked on the ParkAdmin® system. “This add-on module will end saving hours a week in any parking enforcement office and this is very valuable to our customers and this is what makes the ParkAdmin® system and the Violations Module so much more attractive to new customers as it continues to grow,” adds Joan Batucan. "Since launch of the collections module in ParkAdmin, Carleton University has been able to clear outstanding receivables in a more timely fashion. Users are paying outstanding violations within 60 days and all others (only about 20% are forwarded onto our contracted collection agency for action). Since May 2005, our fines collected are over $60,000.00...fines collected last year at this same time were only $16,180", says Brian Billings the Operations Manager for Campus Safety and Parking Services at Carleton University in Ottawa. With ongoing time-saving additions such as the Notices Module, Online Appeals, Wireless Ticketing and Incident Reporting, ParkAdmin® continues to lead the field in online parking and security management solutions. -30- For more information on ParkAdmin contact: Joan Batucan Business Development, ParkAdmin Tomahawk Technologies Inc. 1-888-606-5739, Ext. 223 from North America 1-613-257-4141, Ext. x223 from outside of North America Online at http://www.parkadmin.com
