(CARLETON PLACE) - Tomahawk Technologies is expanding the horizons of ParkAdmin®, a complete parking and security management solution, by participating in an international parking conference.
The company participated in the International Parking Institute’s (IPI) ‘Technology in Parking’ seminar that took place in Arlington, Virginia August 18-19, 2005. The seminar is specifically designed for parking professionals with an interest in leading edge technology including members of colleges and universities, parking operators, hospitals, airports, and municipalities.
“We are attending as a vendor during the tradeshow,” said Joan Batucan, who heads up Business Development for ParkAdmin®. “This is the first time we have attended this particular conference or any of the conferences for the IPI, and we are very excited to be showcasing the benefits and values of ParkAdmin® at a show for technophiles as well as those attendees who are more than mildly interested in updating their operations.”
Tomahawk recently gained full affiliate membership in the IPI, marking the firm’s second international membership in the parking and security industry. This is, however, an important first as far as international parking membership goes.
“We are delighted and proud to be part of this internationally recognized organization,” stated Batucan. “It gives us an opportunity to network and make connections in a global market. It puts us on the international map as a vendor of parking software, products and services.”
Being part of the IPI seminar is part of the strategic, long-term plan to make ParkAdmin® a serious parking and security management contender.
“We are expanding our horizons and our outlook as the product and customer base grows. Customer interest is rolling in from around the world and from outside of the education vertical, namely municipalities, airports, and private parking operators. Although, interest from other verticals has also come in,” concluded Batucan.
ParkAdmin® is a web-enabled solution for administrators of parking, security and related operations. The system was created in 2001 by Tomahawk Technologies specifically for a local university. It is now installed in campuses across North America. The largest ParkAdmin® installation is an institution with more than 25,000 users. The institution sells more than 8,000 long-term permits and writes nearly 30,000 citations annually. The smallest ParkAdmin® installation sells less than 1000 permits using the e-Commerce Payment Gateway module. Both large and small customer bases are enjoying the full benefits of automating and integrating their parking and security management in the distributed manner afforded by ParkAdmin®. --- For more information on ParkAdmin® contact: Joan Batucan Business Development, ParkAdmin® Tomahawk Technologies 1-888-606-5739, Ext. 223 from North America 1-613-257-4141, Ext. x223 from outside of North America Online at http://www.parkadmin.com For more information on the IPI seminar visit: http://www.parking.org/education
