With this new feature, the Parking Servies staff at Carleton University can now print their own hangtags and mail out the laminated printouts in a ready-to-mail page formatting so that the permit and the address information are ready to mail instantly --- hot off the printing press!  This allows a school to customize their decals or access cards while reducing costs.  The barcodes are compliant to the most commonly used barcode standards and can be read by current barcode scanners and ticketing machinery deployed in the field today.

Since the ParkAdmin solution also uses the Integrated Payment Gateway module allowing for e-Commerce capability, Carleton University is able to print off the decals with unique barcodes on a regular basis as the orders come in off the parking website.

"This application was very convenient before the advent of the printable decals for reducing foot traffic to the front counter of the Parking Services office", says Brian Billings, Operations Manager of the Parking Department at Carleton University.

"Now, it [ParkAdmin printable barcodes] has reduced the operational process of mailing out the permits another few steps, so that it's easier than ever to match permits with students and mail them out!"
