Over 100 Security Officers visit the ParkAdmin Booth at the IACLEA 2004 Conference

(Carleton Place) - The Tomahawk Technologies booth featuring ParkAdmin, the completely integrated, secure, web-enabled management system for parking permits and parking citations was well received by the 2004 International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) delegates at the Ottawa Congress Centre during the open hours of the tradeshow floor on Saturday June 26 and Sunday June 27, 2004. Hundreds of delegates and their family dropped by the booth to hear about ParkAdmin's timesaving, money-saving, and cost-reducing benefits. Over a hundred delegates were interested enough to leave a business card with contact information.

Tomahawk Technologies had a high-tech booth consisting of print display materials, a PC with Windows OS, a Mac-based computer, and a Windows CE 2003-based hand-held device that were linked to a local intranet for live system demonstrations during the tradeshow. Business Development representatives, Kia Mousavi and Joan Batucan, were on hand to answer the many questions fielded by the delegates as they arrived.

"It was so busy at the booth that there was barely any time to give full live demonstrations for everybody that wanted one", said Kia Mousavi of the Saturday afternoon experience at the Ottawa Congress Centre.

"At one point I looked up and realized that there 6 or 7 people crowded around the Mac computer listening to me give the demo on ParkAdmin's administrative interface! I looked over at Kia and his PC computer and realized that I couldn't see Kia through the solid wall of people standing there listening to his live demo!", said Joan Batucan of the tradeshow floor experience.

"I didn't mean to start giving a presentation, but both Kia and Joan were in the midst of doing a live demo already, so I decided to pitch in and help," exclaimed Robin Mulloy, President of Tomahawk Technologies, of his Sunday attendance at the tradeshow.

Tomahawk Technologies gave away an MP3 player each day of the conference. The winners were Reg Jerrett from the University of New Brunswick, and Lisa Barbin from Wellesley College.

This year's conference was hosted by Ottawa's own Carleton University. Len Boudreault, the Director of Campus Safety at Carleton University, led the swarm of white-shirted volunteers from both Carleton University and Ottawa University who were always around to ensure that all conference delegates and tradeshow sponsors were at the right place at the right time.

Over 365 officers registered for the event and over 150 spouses and children were also in attendance.
