| (Carleton Place) - Tomahawk Technologies Inc. in conjunction with Go for Green and Environment Canada have successfully developed and hosted the nation wide Commuter Challenge website (www.commuterchallenge.ca). The Commuter Challenge is a friendly competition between Canadian communities to encourage the use of sustainable and active modes of transportation. All you have to do is make a commitment to walk, jog, cycle, in-line skate, take the bus, carpool or tele-work during Environment Week (May 30 - June 5, 2004), the system records the mode you used and the distance you traveled. This is the third consecutive year that Tomahawk has been involved with this project. This year's Commuter Challenge site was given a fresh new look as well many other functional updates. The technology behind the Commuter Challenge is Tomahawk's own SteelArrow (www.SteelArrow.com) web application server software, which easily handled over a million hits a day during the challenge. Tomahawk would like to congratulate Go for Green and Environment Canada on another successful Commuter Challenge.
